class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Cherchant un titre pouvant convenir \u00e0 l\u2019un de mes tableaux en cours, me vinrent en \u00e9vidence ces quelques mots \u00ab\u00a0<em>Nouvelle tentative d\u2019approche \u00bb<\/em>. Cela, il me semble, d\u00e9signe tellement mon travail que je pourrais appeler ainsi non seulement chaque nouveau tableau, mais \u00e9galement rebaptiser par ce titre tous ceux d\u00e9j\u00e0 peints. Peut-\u00eatre, (mais je ne suis pas philosophe et une bonne part de la logique m\u2019\u00e9chappe), que cela pourrait \u00eatre une d\u00e9finition de l\u2019activit\u00e9 artistique. Qu\u2019est-ce que peindre, \u00e9crire un po\u00e8me, composer un nocturne ou chor\u00e9graphier un ballet sinon actualiser une nouvelle tentative d\u2019approche ? Approche de quoi ? Il va de soi que ce qui est ici approch\u00e9 est le r\u00e9el, l\u2019immense ; le r\u00e9el en ce point d\u2019\u00eatre immobile et pourtant li\u00e9 aux mouvantes apparences. Ce qui est tent\u00e9 est l\u2019\u00e9treinte de l\u2019objet concret en ce qu\u2019il d\u00e9borde de sa quantit\u00e9. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019accompagner une esth\u00e9tique, de la mener jusqu\u2019en ad\u00e9quation avec une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 m\u00e9taphysique, de saisir dans la lettre une faille qui ouvre l\u2019esprit.<\/p><p>Face au r\u00e9el et au d\u00e9sir d\u2019en dire quelque chose, il y a toujours le constat de la distance, de ce pas qu\u2019il reste \u00e0 franchir. Malgr\u00e9 la pl\u00e9nitude pr\u00e9sente dans certaines grandes \u0153uvres, reste en ces m\u00eames pi\u00e8ces l\u2019impossibilit\u00e9 de circonscrire la totalit\u00e9 en une partie. Du r\u00e9el, comment saisir la simplicit\u00e9 de l\u2019unit\u00e9 lors m\u00eame que les langages tenus dans le temps et l\u2019espace sont de nature complexe ?\u00a0<em>\u00ab Toute la force qu\u2019il y a dans une t\u00eate\u2026 Jamais je n\u2019arriverai \u00e0 mettre dans un portrait toute la force qu\u2019il y a dans une t\u00eate. Le seul fait de vivre, \u00e7a exige d\u00e9j\u00e0 une telle volont\u00e9 et une telle \u00e9nergie\u2026\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_1\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[1]<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p><p>Il faut bien l\u2019admettre, les artistes sont contraints \u00e0 des \u00ab\u00a0tentatives d\u2019approche\u00a0\u00bb. Le miracle, ce qui est v\u00e9ritablement \u00e9tonnant, est que chacune de ces tentatives demeure \u00ab\u00a0nouvelle\u00a0\u00bb. C\u2019est avec le m\u00eame enthousiasme pour la m\u00eame vis\u00e9e qu\u2019\u00e0 chaque fois l\u2019ouvrage est remis sur le m\u00e9tier\u2026 Cette ferveur peut faire rire le t\u00e9moin non averti qui n\u2019en remarque pas la constante fra\u00eecheur. Des sobriquets comme \u00ab\u00a0na\u00eff\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0immature\u00a0\u00bb, \u00ab\u00a0r\u00eaveur\u00bb, sifflent aux oreilles des artistes; et ceux-l\u00e0 sont parmi les plus doux. Pour nous, sachons voir qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un profond myst\u00e8re d\u2019ob\u00e9issance et comme tel, d\u2019une question de vie ou de mort ; et l\u2019on peut \u00eatre mort, derri\u00e8re l\u2019apparence de la vie, de bien des fa\u00e7ons.<\/p><p>Si Alberto Giacometti passe (et risque) sa vie enti\u00e8re \u00e0 chercher ce qu\u2019est \u00ab\u00a0une t\u00eate\u00a0\u00bb, ce n\u2019est ni pour tuer le temps ni pour faire de la d\u00e9co. Si pour cela il rompt l\u2019amiti\u00e9 avec le groupe des \u00ab\u00a0surr\u00e9alistes\u00a0\u00bb qu\u2019il fr\u00e9quentait alors, c\u2019est bien qu\u2019il per\u00e7oit dans cette \u00ab\u00a0t\u00eate\u00a0\u00bb une ouverture vers l\u2019infini que le seul jaillissement psychique et les \u00ab\u00a0hasards\u00a0\u00bb, m\u00eame issus du r\u00eave et de la folie, ne sauraient atteindre. Depuis quelques temps d\u00e9j\u00e0 s\u2019installe une impossibilit\u00e9 de fond entre Breton et Giacometti.\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0Je savais que quoi que je fasse, quoi que je veuille, je serai oblig\u00e9, un jour, de m\u2019assoir devant le mod\u00e8le, sur un tabouret, et d\u2019essayer de copier ce que je vois.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0Si Breton secoue les limites \u00e9touffantes du positivisme c\u2019est dans la m\u00eame attitude de suffisance qu\u2019il reproche aux disciples d\u2019Auguste Comte :\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0Une t\u00eate, tout le monde sait ce que c\u2019est.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0La voix d\u2019Alberto s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve plus haut que le chef de file du surr\u00e9alisme :\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0Moi pas !\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0Deux mots. Un aveu de faiblesse comme positionnement et point de rupture. Deux mots simples comme une porte qui s\u2019ouvre. Deux mots comme principe et fondement, deux mots qui ne sont pas sans faire penser au tout aussi fondateur \u00ab<em>Je sais que je ne sais rien\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>\u00a0de Socrate. Deux mots pour descendre d\u2019une posture tenue \u00e0 une attitude juste.\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0J\u2019ai perdu tous mes amis ainsi que l\u2019attention des marchands. Eh bien, malgr\u00e9 cela, le jour o\u00f9 je me suis retrouv\u00e9 sur le trottoir, d\u00e9cid\u00e9 \u00e0 reproduire aussi fid\u00e8lement que possible des t\u00eates humaines, comme un d\u00e9butant de la Grande-Chaumi\u00e8re, je me suis senti heureux, libre.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0C\u2019est ainsi que, d\u2019une certaine mani\u00e8re, Giacometti sauve le figuratif et la possibilit\u00e9 en art de toujours se r\u00e9f\u00e9rer \u00e0 la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de l\u2019objet. Quelques ann\u00e9es plus tard, Philippe Jaccottet fera de m\u00eame en arrachant le langage \u00e0 une\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0culture autonome dans lequel l\u2019homme lui-m\u00eame prend la place de cr\u00e9ateur\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0. En signant ses \u00ab\u00a0<em>Paysages avec figures absentes \u00bb<\/em>, il donne simplement aux mots d\u2019explorer la fuyante exp\u00e9rience du r\u00e9el ;<em>\u00a0\u00ab \u00e0 peine avais-je vu ces paysages, je les ai senti m\u2019attirer comme ce qui se d\u00e9robe \u00bb.<\/em><\/p><p>L\u2019artiste n\u2019est pas un r\u00eaveur qui butine le monde du bout des doigts. Il est voyant et pragmatique. Il est conscient que\u00a0 &#8221; [\u2026] l<em>e Paradis n\u2019est pas un conte de f\u00e9e. C\u2019est le monde r\u00e9el\u2026&#8221; <\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0Parce qu\u2019 il voit le monde dans la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 de son origine, parce qu\u2019il en respecte la libert\u00e9 et les exigences, il est un protagoniste des plus puissant.\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0La souverainet\u00e9 humaine s\u2019\u00e9tablit d\u00e8s lors avec succ\u00e8s dans la mesure o\u00f9 l\u2019homme accomplit son service de fa\u00e7on pure, car la v\u00e9ritable souverainet\u00e9 n\u2019est pas la violence mais la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Et la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 consiste \u00e0 voir l\u2019essence des choses telles qu\u2019elles sont et \u00e0 leur rendre justice. Or, ce qui d\u00e9termine les choses en leur fondement, c\u2019est qu\u2019elles ne sont pas une \u00ab\u00a0nature\u00a0\u00bb mais une \u00ab\u00a0cr\u00e9ation\u00a0\u00bb. Et ce n\u2019est qu\u2019en comprenant les choses de cette mani\u00e8re, qu\u2019elles se r\u00e9v\u00e8lent et qu\u2019elles ob\u00e9issent.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_6\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[6]<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p><p>Parler de \u00ab\u00a0cr\u00e9ation\u00a0\u00bb induit par voie de cons\u00e9quence \u00e0 parler de \u00ab\u00a0cr\u00e9ateur\u00a0\u00bb. L\u2019objet per\u00e7u comme \u00ab\u00a0cr\u00e9ation\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0 (ce qui est une premi\u00e8re relation) ouvre imm\u00e9diatement \u00e0 la relation au cr\u00e9ateur. Ainsi, ne peut on pas parler de relation \u00e0 l\u2019objet sans simultan\u00e9ment parler d\u2019une double relation. Pour exemple, contempler une oeuvre de Giacometti c\u2019est aussi percevoir quelque chose de l\u2019artiste. Plus mon approche, par exemple de \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019homme qui marche\u00a0\u00bb,\u00a0 sera juste et profonde, intelligente et vraie, plus je m\u2019approcherai de l\u2019intention du cr\u00e9ateur, de sa vision, de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience du r\u00e9el qu\u2019il a eu. C\u2019est pour cela qu\u2019il n\u2019est pas anodin de se placer avec s\u00e9rieux devant une oeuvre d\u2019art ou devant un mod\u00e8le pour essayer de la copier tel qu\u2019on le voit. Rien ne suscite davantage le changement que d\u2019\u00eatre ainsi immobile, post\u00e9 avec foi et d\u00e9termination, devant un mod\u00e8le non cr\u00e9\u00e9 de main d\u2019homme. Peut \u00eatre n\u2019y a t\u2019il rien d\u2019autre \u00e0 faire de sa vie, finalement, que de tenir cette attitude face au r\u00e9el, que d\u2019apprendre \u00e0 \u00e9couter et r\u00e9p\u00e9ter les mots entendus l\u00e0, car dans cette relation \u00e0 l\u2019objet et \u00e0 l\u2019ordre du monde nous entrons dans la relation au Cr\u00e9ateur de l\u2019objet et du monde. \u00c0 certaines heures il me semble que l\u00e0 est l\u2019axe du monde et que c\u2019est seulement autour de ce dernier qu\u2019il pourra tourner rond.<\/p><p>Il dit \u00ab\u00a0arbre\u00a0\u00bb et Il dit \u00ab\u00a0fleur\u00a0\u00bb. Il dit \u00ab\u00a0corps\u00a0\u00bb, Il dit \u00ab\u00a0pluie\u00a0\u00bb et Il dit \u00ab\u00a0herbe\u00a0\u00bb, et se faisant Il dit un peu de Lui-m\u00eame. Ce sont comme des mots qu\u2019Il prononce pour nous. Il dit \u00ab\u00a0jour\u00a0\u00bb et Il dit \u00ab\u00a0nuit\u00a0\u00bb, Il dit \u00ab\u00a0deuil\u00a0\u00bb et Il dit \u00ab\u00a0naissance\u00a0\u00bb. Il dit tout cela et comme des enfants qui d\u00e9couvrent un langage, nous essayons au mieux de r\u00e9p\u00e9ter. La pr\u00e9somption aveuglante de pouvoir dominer le monde, ou celle non moins aveuglante de se laisser \u00e9craser par lui, fait alors place \u00e0 une attitude humble en ad\u00e9quation aux choses. La violence de l\u2019orgueil ou la mollesse de la d\u00e9mission n\u2019est plus obligatoire. Imaginez chaque d\u00e9cision prendre racine dans la conscience de cette pr\u00e9sence\u2026 \u00ab\u00a0<em>Heureux les doux, ils poss\u00e8deront la terre<\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_7\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[7]<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/p><p>Chaque tentative d\u2019approche n\u2019est en fait rien d\u2019autre que l\u2019affirmation du d\u00e9sir de rester dans cette relation. Prendre le risque d\u2019engager sa vie sans autre but que de garder vivante cette relation avec le myst\u00e8re n\u2019est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas sans cons\u00e9quences. Cela g\u00e9n\u00e8re soit le scandale soit le d\u00e9sir. Au mieux, cela inqui\u00e8te. Toute v\u00e9ritable forme d\u2019ob\u00e9issance \u00e0 ce qui est suscite des remous. Sit\u00f4t que cela devient concret, s\u2019incarne en quelques actes, en quelques d\u00e9cisions ou en quelques oeuvres, le simple fait de suivre une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 per\u00e7ue plus vraie, plus belle et plus br\u00fblante d\u00e9range ou attire. C\u2019est l\u00e0 pourtant que nous sommes tenus d\u2019\u00eatre. C\u2019est sur ce fondement que nos vies s\u2019ordonnent. C\u2019est l\u00e0 seulement que le monde s\u2019arrache au chaos, qu\u2019il quitte l\u2019absurde vers le sens. Les grand artistes devraient parfois \u00eatre invit\u00e9s au sein des plus grandes instances d\u00e9cisionnelles. Peut \u00eatre devraient-ils \u00eatre consult\u00e9s sur les grandes questions de fond qui secouent l\u2019humanit\u00e9.\u00a0 Bien sur, ils ne remplaceraient pas les sp\u00e9cialistes, mais d\u2019une certaine mani\u00e8re ils donneraient le ton.<\/p><p>Si, par nature, chaque nouvelle tentative d\u2019approche contient sa part de deuil, elle laisse aussi entrer une part de lumi\u00e8re qui n\u2019est \u00ab\u00a0<em>ni celle de l\u2019aube ni celle de l\u2019aurore<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_8\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[8]<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0. Cette clart\u00e9 qui ne se refl\u00e8te pas, c\u2019est elle que nous cherchons et voulons dire.\u00a0<em>\u00ab\u00a0Nous inventons \u00e0 cet effet un langage o\u00f9 se combinent la rigueur et le vague, o\u00f9 la mesure n\u2019emp\u00eache pas le mouvement de se poursuivre, mais le montre, donc ne le laisse pas enti\u00e8rement se perdre\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0<\/em><span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_48639_1_9\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[9]<\/sup><\/a><\/span>\u00a0. Il s\u2019agit de jouer la note blanche, celle qui ne peut \u00eatre dite et vers laquelle toutes les autres tendent ; sans laquelle aucune n\u2019est. Elle est l\u2019ultime diapason auquel tout s\u2019accorde.
